The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[1] In the general election for Ward 39, incumbent Margaret Laurino defeated Robert Murphy and Joseph "Joe" Laiacona.[2] Mary K. Hunter was removed from the ballot.[3]
