Russ and his wife, Annajean, have 3 young children and have Fostered 9 other children since 2012. They lead a support group for Foster families in Whatcom County and are active in their church. Russ has a Business degree in Public Administration from the University of Phoenix. He worked in management at a small business for 15 years before becoming an independent contractor in the gig economy. Customer service, bold leadership, and treating people fairly are principles Russ uses in everything he does.

As a Scout leader and youth sports coach Russ has enjoyed working with youth throughout his adult life. He has taught leadership and safety courses to other Scout leaders for many years.

Russ currently serves as Treasurer and a Precinct Committee Officer for the Whatcom County Republican Party.

Mark Chilutti from Philadelphia, PA. I have known Mark for over 20 years through the Boy Scouts of America. He was paralyzed in the mid-1990's and continues to inspire youth and adults in the BSA. He ran for State House of Representatives in 2000 and came within 50 votes of winning.
Domino's Pizza: I worked for that franchise for 12 years in every store level position. As a General Manager I learned about local marketing and profit/loss.
