Committee assignments
2010-2011
In the 2010-2011 legislative session, LaBruzzo served on the following committees:
- Appropriations
- Joint Legislative Budget Committee
- Health and Welfare
- Labor and Industrial Relations
- Subcommittee on Health and Human Services
Elections
2011
Redistricting moved Labruzzo out of his district, thus he ran in the 2011 election for Louisiana House of Representatives District 94. He was defeated by incumbent Nicholas Lorusso (R) in the primary election on October 22, 2011. Because Louisiana uses a blanket primary system, a candidate can be declared the overall winner of the seat by garnering 50 percent +1 of the vote in the primary.
2007
In 2007, LaBruzzo, Jr. was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives. He ran unopposed.[2]
