Lawrence Allen Jr.
Lawrence Allen Jr. (Democratic Party) is running for election to the Texas House of Representatives to represent District 131. He is on the ballot in the Democratic primary on March 3, 2026.[source]
Allen (Democratic Party) (also known as Skully) was a member of the Texas State Board of Education, representing District 4. He assumed office in 2005. He left office on January 1, 2023.
Biography
As of November 2017, Allen was the director of special projects for the Houston Independent School District. He had previously served as an administrator and teacher in middle and high schools across the district.[1]

Allen was first elected to the board in a November 2004 special election and took office in January 2005. He was re-elected in 2006, 2010, 2012, and 2014.
