My job will be to fight to get our financial house in order and then I will fight to bring Enfield is fair share."

  • Excerpt: "The State of Connecticut has been underfunding education in our town by millions each year. It has been estimated that Enfield is underfunded by as much as $11,000,000 annually in education. This must be addressed and we must fight for what is right."

  • Excerpt: "It is clear from Sandy Hook and other tragedies that there is a problem. Unfortunately in their haste to do something, the State Legislature has created a set of laws that fixes nothing. Instead the law has made felons of good citizens because there is something packed away in their basement that they forgot about 20 years ago. "

Elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent David Alexander was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Tom Kienzler was unopposed in the Republican primary. Alexander defeated Kienzler in the general election.[2][3]
