Mike Hill (Alabama)
Mike Hill (b. March 3, 1949) is a former Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 41 from 1986 to 2016. He resigned from his seat on July 5, 2016, after he was appointed as the superintendent of the Alabama State Banking Department.[1]
Biography
Hill's professional experience includes working as a title insurance agent with Cahaba Title Inc. He has previously worked for the First National Bank of Columbiana and served in the United States Army. Hill has served on the state board of directors of Alabama Easter Seals and the board of directors of the Birmingham Occupational Rehabilitation Center.[2]

Elections for the Alabama House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Mike Hill was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[3][4][5][6]
2010
Hill won re-election to the District 41 seat in 2010. He defeated Stephen R. Bryant in the primary election, receiving 6,403 votes to Bryant's 2,029. He faced no opposition in the November 2 general election.[7][8]

On November 7, 2006, Hill was re-elected to the District 41 seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, running uncontested in the general election.[9]
