Previous experience in government or politics can sometimes cause complacency in the job that needs to be done. Career politicians can sometimes lose the reason and their passion which first lead them to the position, because they begin to become comfortable and only concerned with winning the seat, only to not provide the service that they once felt was important for their communities, county, and state.
