- I've navigated the systems that are failing us:
I've fought insurance companies to get care for medically complex children I've worked in schools where teachers are stretched too thin
I've worked minimum-wage jobs where one unexpected expense meant disaster - I represent voices that are rarely heard: Corrections officer families watching their loved ones burn out. Rural mothers choosing between pediatrician appointments and paying bills. Tribal citizens who deserve representation that honors sovereignty. Working-class families who can't hire lobbyists.
- I've already proven I don't wait for permission to lead: Founded an advocacy group for the MDOC staffing crisis. Educated myself on policy processes and legislative advocacy. Built grassroots coalitions across the district.
