A voting booth or polling booth is a stall, cubicle or small area set off by walls or a curtain in a polling location where voters are able to cast their vote in private to protect the secrecy of the ballot.[1] Usually access to the voting booth is restricted to a single person, with exceptions for voters requiring assistance.[2]

Commonly voting machines use either a voting booth or some other form of privacy cover to obscure the voting screen from the view of others.
