A special election for the position of Connecticut House of Representatives District 75 was called for April 26. Candidates were nominated by their parties rather than through primaries.[1]
The seat was vacant following Victor Cuevas' (D) resignation on March 8, 2016. He resigned because of a federal investigation into a home loan that he helped his son with.[2]
Geraldo Reyes (D) defeated Raymond Work (R), and Lisa Lessard (I) in the special election.[3][4][5]
