Robert Dvorsky (b. August 18, 1948) is a Democratic member of the Iowa Senate, representing District 15.

Education

Dvorsky earned his BS and MPA from the University of Iowa in 1972 and 1984, respectively.

Professional experience

Dvorsky is a former Small Business Manager. He was Supervisor of Recreation for the Mason City Parks and Recreation Department from 1973 to 1979. He worked as Coordinator of JTPA, (MYEP), from 1985 to 1991. He has been a Job Developer for the 6th District Department of Correctional Services from 1991 to the present. He has also worked for the East Central Iowa Employment and Training Consortium in Cedar Rapids since 1993.

Political experience

Dvorsky was on the Coralville City Council from 1979 to 1986. He was also Mason City Superintendent of Recreation from 1973 to 1979. He served in the Iowa State House of Representatives from 1986 to 1994. He joined the Iowa State Senate in 2002. He has served in that position since, representing the 15th district.

Dvorsky and his wife, Susan, have two children.
