Campaign themes
2014
Ennis' website highlighted the following campaign themes:
“ | Education, Jobs / Families, and Violence against Children are the issues Brenda will spearhead and bring to the State House. Brenda is not a quitter; she is never intimidated and stands up for her belief in fair play.
Education is the catalyst to change. It will bring about job creation and better public education that is fairly funded for all students. Education should never be about the haves and the have-nots. Chapter 70 School Funding is an immediate concern to communities in the Commonwealth, the work that has begun on the Formula must be a priority. We need to work with our employers in the 18th Worcester District and allow them to take the lead with the legislators to collaborate and find solutions to an over-taxed, over-reporting, and over-exhausted system that handcuffs businesses to the almighty dollar. The current Regulation Reform is a good start. Much more work is needed to ensure employers they can continue to thrive in this district and in Massachusetts. Children suffer daily from violence, abuse and exploitation. WE are all responsible to keep all children safe. Brenda is committed to working with public and private agencies to educate families and children by introducing pro active programs (It Is OK To Tell) to our public schools, and bring an end to Violence Against Children…one child at a time.[2][3] |
