Elaine R. Mastromatteo was a 2014 Green candidate for District 64 of the Ohio House of Representatives.
She was a 2012 Green Party candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 14th Congressional District of Ohio.

2014
Elections for the Ohio House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 5, 2014. Michael O’Brien defeated Eugene Mach, II and Ken MacPherson in the Democratic primary, while Randy Law was unopposed in the Republican primary. Elaine R. Mastromatteo ran as a Green Party candidate. Eric A. Dunn (I) was removed from the ballot prior to the general election. O’Brien defeated Law and Mastromatteo in the general election.[1]

2012
Mastromatteo was defeated by Republican David Joyce.[2] Mastromatteo ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Ohio's 14th District. She ran unopposed in the Green Party primary on March 6, 2012.
Steven C. LaTourette announced his retirement on July 31, 2012, delaying the announcement long enough to prevent the need for a special election to fill the 14th District seat.[3][4]
The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in Ohio in 2012 as one of the 10 states that could have determined whether Democrats retook the House or Republicans held their majority in 2013.[5] Ohio tied with Pennsylvania for 9th on the list.[5]
