Biography

Ludwig Gelobter earned a bachelor's and a graduate degree from Columbia University in 1961 and 1968, respectively. His career experience includes working as a publishing executive. Gelobter has been affiliated with Temple Shalom and Lafayette AARP.[1]

As a Jewish child in World War II Poland, I learned firsthand about the atrocities which poor government /leadership can produce. I came to the US at age 14, and have spent my life in public service ever since. I have been a District Leader in Manhattan, ran Shirley Chisholm's Presidential campaign, and helped elect many of our present Congressional leaders. Moving to Louisiana in 1986, I have been active in public service - listening to people. Our current leaders are unresponsive to their constituents. My slogan is "LUDWIG LISTENS". Please be good enough to cast your vote for me. I bring experience and diversity to the House.
