Daly ran for election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Orange 2. Daly was unopposed in the August 28 Republican primary and was defeated by incumbent Sarah Copeland-Hanzas (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
