Terry F. Gestrin (Republican Party) was a member of the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 8A. He assumed office in 2012. He left office on December 1, 2022.

Gestrin (Republican Party) ran for election to the Idaho State Senate to represent District 8. He lost in the Republican primary on May 17, 2022.

Biography

Gestrin was born in Cascade, Idaho, and as of January 2020 resides in Donnelly. He graduated from Idaho State University with a bachelor's degree in finance. His professional experience includes serving as volunteer fire chief, Donnelly Valley county commissioner, and chairman of the Valley County Republican Central Committee. Gestrin has served on the boards of the State Insurance Fund and the Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands.[1]

Gestrin won election in the 2012 election for Idaho House of Representatives District 8A. On July 25, 2012, he was chosen as the ballot replacement for incumbent Ken Roberts, who withdrew on the July 16. He defeated Karla J. Miller (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[11][12]
