Elbert Bartell (Independent)

In public policy leadership, I have a personal passion to administrate mandates in the areas of Environment, Health, Homeland Security, and Housing.

In public policy leadership, I have a personal passion to communicate outcomes in the areas of Treasury, Commerce, Energy, and Transportation. In public policy leadership, I have a personal passion to coordinate stakeholders in the areas of Agriculture, Labor, and Education.

In public policy leadership, I have a personal passion to facilitate strategies in the areas of State, Defense, Veterans Affairs, and Justice.
To keep our government from collaborating with Big Tech and social media to censor and spy on the American people and first amendment rights.

A pullback on all regulations that are making near impossible for American farmers and ranchers from doing their jobs. To stop the coercive tactics of ESG and diversity inclusive departments. Duplicity of Federal and State departments that are redundant and costing Americans more in taxes. Abolish the department of Education and send it back to the state. Let the money follow the student and let the schools compete for extra money by how children score on testing. Build the border wall and protect our country from the invasion of illegals. Stop the regulatory capture of the health care industry and pharmaceutical industries. Stop the Emergency Prep Act that protects the industry from bad vaccines and practices.

Change the presidential emergencies act. For far too long it has been used as a power grab. I'd like to make it where the House and Senate have to vote and see if it's an actual emergency. I'd also like to put a year time limit on emergencies. We are still under emergencies that Jimmy Carter enacted.
All of them.
My name's sake Ronald Reagan. I love his wit, intelligence, sense of humor, unifying ability, and ideas on government. He was truly an iconic figure and I hope to be like him because at this moment in history I feel like we need leadership like him! Reagan said, "Control your government or it will control you." Our government has become too big and overreaching and interfering in our lives in ways that our founding fathers would find abhorrent. He also said, "We’re in danger of creating a permanent culture of poverty as inescapable as any chain or bond; a second and separate America, an America of lost dreams and stunted lives.” The ways our laws are written now we are incentivizing broken American families and for people never to get off the system. He was a great man with an even greater insight, and I am truly blessed to be named after him.
I believe elected officials should look up to the people and always remember that the highest office in the land is CITIZEN. Of course I have personal heroes like Frederick Douglass, Harry Chapin, Carl Sagan, etc.
Integrity and representing the people and not Corporation, Big Tech, or Big Pharma.
I always do my homework. I believe in facts and logic. I believe in listening to and understanding all sides of an issue. And I believe in admitting when I’m wrong.
I'm a hard worker that believes in fighting for the everyday American. I never give up and want to see everyone do the best they can.
Frankly, I’m a genius with a love of research. I make sure I’m always the smartest guy in the room. I have Young Onset Parkinson’s Dissase. For two decades, it has ravaged my body and left me disabled. But I still have my mind and I feel a duty to put it to patriotic use.
Thoughtful debate so that all issues presented are completely understood. Preserving the Constitution and passing laws that serve the citizens.
To make the world a better place where people don't have to struggle to make a living. A place where we truly have freedom and liberty. A place where all communities are safe.
That my daughters be proud of me.
I was 21 when 9/11 happened.
The Watergate scandal and resignation of Nixon. I was 6 or 7.
I worked at Red-Food grocery store when I was 16 for a year.
I was a computer graphics artist for years starting from the age of 15.
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It's so simple and sweet. It's poignant and puts life into perspective.
I love too many books to have a favorite. Beware the man of one book.
Parkinson’s Disease. It is very painful and disabling.
Losing our status as the Reserve World Currency. We will default on our debts and because of printing out more and more money, we will have hyperinflation. Our government will not be able to function with the 400+ government agencies and massive spending of all the government programs.
Maintaining our military supremacy as we check the growing powers of Russia and China and Islamic regimes.
Transitioning America and the world toward nuclear energy and away from fossil fuels as we try to mitigate the coming effects of climate change.

All while preserving the liberty and safety of our citizens, and fostering opportunity, health, and a modernized infrastructure.

Saving family farms. Raise the minimum wage to $15 with an automatic cost of living increase every year.

Saving the promise of social security and vastly increasing benefits.
They are desperately needed to prevent career politicians from endlessly buying elections and not addressing the concerns of their constituents.
We have very effective term limits. They are called ELECTIONS.
The senate has wide-ranging duties including proposing and drafting effective legislation, investigating violations in all branches of the government, and even effective use of the filibuster to protect the minority from being railroaded by a tyranny of the majority.
It can be useful in terms of knowing the inner workings of agencies and their corresponding bureaucracies to implement useful legislation to address problems. However, our current legislature and the bureaucracies they have conceded authority to do not show much interest in solving problems. If anything they seem to pursue the creation of new problems or making previously existing problems worse. We have had career politicians controlling policy in this country for a very long time and it has not yielded good results for the American people. There is so much corruption throughout our government that anyone who is extremely experienced with government work they are either useless to fixing the problems or they are an essential component to these problems.
Experience comes from many sources. We need leaders from a variety of backgrounds. Enough already with lawyers, businessmen, millionaires, and reverends. We need scientists and artists and writers and maybe a barber and a cab driver and a cop.
Unless someone is bringing useful information, then they shouldn't be able to drag out a vote.
It is a vital tool that spurs debate, which is the primary role of the Senate. It prevents the majority from bullying the minority.
No. It’s entirely inappropriate for this forum.
Their adherence to the law. Not pushing their own agenda.
I would do my homework and review their decisions and fidelity to the Constitution and ignore the lies they tell during confirmation hearings where they will say anything to get the job.
Even if you have opposing views, you must be congenial and persuasive if you want to accomplish anything. You have to face people with truth and facts.
Hopefully, respectful friendships based on cooperation and a love for this country.
Of course. Every senator is sent to Washington to work with each other. The trick is learning to compromise on details without compromising oneself and one’s principles.
To expose and prosecute violations in every branch of government, especially SCOTUS.
Someone who is just and fair. Someone who care about doing what is right rather than pushing their personal agenda.
Honesty. Integrity. A complete working knowledge of their area of expertise.

General election race ratings

See also: Race rating definitions and methods

Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:

  • Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
  • Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
  • Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[1]
  • Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.

Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[2][3][4]
