Simon Abela (Republican Party) ran for election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 53. He lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Biography
Simon Abela earned a bachelor's degree from Columbia Southern University in 2015 and graduated cum laude. He earned a master's degree in environmental management and health safety from Columbia Southern University. Abela's career experience includes working in environmental health and safety. His professional credentials include an Associate Safety and Health Manager entry level EHS management certification.[1]

Simon Abela worked and supported several projects for the U.S. Military operations in Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, and Spain. He was responsible for all base closures in 2011. Mr. Abela fully supports the U.S. Military.
My wife and I are both immigrants I appreciate America has done for us. Because we do not believe in handouts from the government, America was founded on the freedoms of religion.

The Right to Bear Arms 2nd Amendment of the U.S., to protect your family and the country against domestic and foreign enemies.
I support LowerPersonal Taxes for Iowans, Less Bureaucracy, and more rights to Iowans. I will work hard for constituents in my area. I will not help any Taxpayer money for Abortions-, paying for illegals- The government must be accountable and work with the current budgets. I recommend more Money for Special Education.
I support innovative projects in N. Iowa. A modern updated Airport so travel would be easier for North Iowans. Not too large of Airport but enough to travel regionally. for other regionals If we want more tourism, we must do everything to make the area attractive for people to visit.
Police-First Responders Public Safety.
We must provide adequate funding to run our departments, the Police Department and Sheriff must have proper tools to protect our citizens' Any illegals citizens that are here with our documentation
Smaller Government
One of the best President Ronald Reagan once said," government is not the solution to our problems; government is the problem." W
I support local businesses and farmers.
