Paul R. Smith (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Michigan House of Representatives to represent District 9. He lost in the Democratic primary on August 2, 2022.

Biography
Paul R. Smith was born in Detroit, Michigan. Smith earned a bachelor's degree from the College of Central Florida in 2009 and studied for a graduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh. His career experience includes serving on the Covenant House board of directors and working for the Michigan Foster Care Review Board.[1]
