Anthony P. Patti is a federal magistrate judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He has served on the court since 2015. His current term will expire expired on January 4, 2023.[1]
Education
Patti earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 1987 and his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1990.[1]
Professional career
From his court biography, after law school Judge Patti "joined the law office of Hooper, Hathaway, Price, Beuche & Wallace in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he practiced for 24 years in the areas of complex and general commercial litigation, trade secrets and unfair competition law, trademark and copyright law, employment and employment litigation, securities litigation, tort litigation, professional malpractice law, probate litigation, and appellate work. He has served as an adjunct professor of law at the Ave Maria School of Law and at Western Michigan University's Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he taught trial advocacy and medical malpractice courses. He has also taught Political Science courses at several other universities and colleges, most recently at the University of Michigan - Dearborn, including courses in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, American Government and the American Legal System."[1]
