My name is Ashley Seshul, and it’s an honor to announce my candidacy for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 34. I’m excited to bring the voice of fellow Wake County residents to the floor of the General Assembly, because I love our Country, this great State and look forward to better reflecting the values and concerns of our District. As your representative, I will advocate for our children, champion a strong economy, and fight to protect our personal freedoms. I will strive to be the clear voice of the people. My family inspired me toward political action following the events and critical decisions of 2020 that personally impacted students and families throughout Wake County and all of North Carolina. I've been a tireless participant at the North Carolina General Assembly, forging constructive relationships with legislators interested in discovering common ground in an effort to bring a Voice for Wake County. I've also faithfully attended County Commissioner and School Board meetings, frequently speaking on relevant topics to advocate for common sense solutions.
  • EDUCATION. We must address the negative educational, behavioral health, and developmental impacts that are a direct result of how Covid-19 was managed. While many recognize in retrospect that the least vulnerable (children age 0 - 18 years) were subjected to policy decisions that did not make sense, the focus today must be on meeting the problems these policy decisions created head on. To do this effectively will require input from many stakeholders, with a primary focus on parent input.
  • ECONOMY. From gas prices to groceries, inflation burdens everyone. Let's restrain government spending so that North Carolina taxes lower and citizens keep more of their hard earned money.
  • FREEDOM OF SPEECH and CONSTRUCTIVE DEBATE WITHOUT CENSORSHIP; FREEDOM OF RELIGION; MEDICAL FREEDOM and PRIVACY in MEDICAL DECISION MAKING without FEAR of RETRIBUTION
EDUCATION, ECONOMY (TAX POLICY, RESPONSE TO INFLATION, AND BUSINESS FRIENDLY POLICY), FREEDOMS, and COMMUNITY SAFETY
