Wilford D. Carter
Wilford Dan Carter, Sr. (Democratic Party) is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 34. He assumed office on January 13, 2020. His current term ends on January 10, 2028.
Carter (Democratic Party) won re-election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 34 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023, after the general election was canceled.
Carter was a 2015 Democratic candidate for District 34 of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
Carter was a judge of the 14th Judicial District (Division F) in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.[1] He was first elected to this position on October 3, 1992—taking office in 1993—and he retired on November 1, 2013.[2][3][4][5]

A primary election was held on October 24, 2015, with a general election held in districts where necessary on November 21, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was September 10, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. CDT.[6]

Incumbent Albert Franklin (D) faced Wilford Dan Carter, Sr. (D), Alvin Joseph (D) and Tom Quirk (R) in the October 24 blanket primary.
