Dorinda Keenan Borer
Dorinda Keenan Borer (Democratic Party) was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 115. She assumed office in 2017. She left office on December 2, 2023.
Borer (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 115. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Keenan Borer resigned from the Connecticut House of Representatives after she was elected mayor of West Haven, Connecticut.[1]
Biography
Dorinda Keenan Borer was born in West Haven, Connecticut. She earned a B.S. in business administration and management at Southern Connecticut State University and an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven. Borer’s career experience includes working as the founder of PureFire Executive Consulting, after working as the Vice President of United Healthcare. She serves on the Board of the Rotary Club. Borer was elected to serve as the Representative for Connecticut House District 115.[2]

A special election for the position of Connecticut House of Representatives District 115 was called for February 28, 2017. The filing deadline for political parties to nominate their candidates to run in this election was January 23, 2017.[4]
The seat was vacant following Stephen Dargan's (D) resignation to take a job on Connecticut's Board of Pardons and Paroles.
Dorinda Keenan Borer (D) defeated Edward Granfield (R) in the special election.[5][6]
