I was born and raised in Dixon, Illinois. After graduating from Dixon High School, I continued my education with a bachelor’s degree in History and Secondary Education from Loras College and a master’s degree in Kinesiology from SIUE. For over a decade, I dedicated my career to teaching in Dixon Public Schools and coaching high school wrestling. I then transitioned into the private sector and currently work as a grain marketing representative for AgPerspective. I am a member of St. Patrick’s Church, the Dixon Elks Lodge, Lee County Farm Bureau, and continue to volunteer with the Dixon wrestling program. I was named the Illinois High School Wrestling Coach of the Year in 2017 and was the recipient of the Dixon Chamber Main Street 4 Under 40 award in 2021. My journey into politics began in 2015 as a Councilman for the City of Dixon. I was part of the city council that oversaw the change in government to the current managerial form and hired Dixon's first city manager. Currently, I am in his 2nd term for the City of Dixon.

It's causing outright hesitation or some departments avoiding certain situations that they used to engage in. It's important to go back and set clear expectations and guidelines for the law enforcement departments.
  • Making sure there is a quality education for students in Illinois. Unfunded mandates that rob schools of their resources need to be limited or eliminated. School boards and teachers should be allowed as much control as possible.
  • Protecting our Constitutional rights.
