Garrigues ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 15. He was defeated by Cindy Moore in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012. Incumbent Democrat Tony Staskunas did not run for re-election. Joe Sanfelippo was unopposed in the Republican primary.[1] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
