Fisheries and Aquaculture Committee, California State Legislature
The Fisheries and Aquaculture Committee is a joint standing committee of the California Legislature.
Per the Joint Rules, the Senate Committee on Rules appoints senate members to joint committees, while the House Speaker appoints assembly members to joint committees. Joint committee members serve until their successors are regularly selected.[1] The Senate Committee on Rules and the House Speaker recommend a chair for each joint committee, with the Joint Rules Committee making the appointment from the recommendations.[2] A majority of the membership from each chamber constitutes a quorum.[3]
