Gary Fitzgerald
Gary Fitzgerald was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 49 of the Illinois State Senate.
Fitzgerald earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Illinois State University and master's degree in public administration from Northern Illinois University. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.[1]

Fitzgerald ran in the 2012 election for Illinois State Senate District 49. Fitzgerald lost in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012. He faced Anthony Giles, Garrett Peck and Brian Smith. Incumbent William "Sam" McCann did not run for re-election in District 49, instead opting to run in District 50. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]
