Michel ran in the 2010 election for Connecticut House of Representatives District 15. Michel was defeated by incumbent David Baram in the August 10 Democratic primary. Baram received 1,866 votes in the primary while Leo Canty received 929 votes and Michel received 333 votes.[1] Baram went on to defeat Republican Howard A. Jubrey, Jr. in the general election.
