Former Mayor Whitfield Jones, he was a true public servant, read his bible each morning, encouraged others to lead, spoke truth to everyone, and served without blemish for many years.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Honest Open minded Willingness to compromise when necessary and fight to defend those unable to defend themselves. Patriot Selfless servant

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

Previous experience as elected official having served 8 years on the police jury. Volunteer in the community. I enjoy working with the public.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I want to make a positive change in the most impoverished region in the nation. My district 21 of Louisiana

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

Death and burial of president Kennedy

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Banking, 10 years

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

I believe it is beneficial especially now with term limits.

What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?

Healthcare Infrastructure improvements Constitutional convention Taxes

Yes we must be able to debate issues and reach a consensus for the good of everyone.
