Janet Murphy
Janet Murphy was a 2015 Independent candidate for District 47 of the Virginia House of Delegates.[1]
Murphy was a 2012 Green Party candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 8th Congressional District of Virginia. She was defeated by Jim Moran on November 6, 2012.[2]

2015
Elections for the Virginia House of Delegates took place in 2015. A primary election was held on June 9, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 26, 2015.[3] Incumbent Patrick Hope was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Janet Murphy is running as an independent candidate. Hope defeated Murphy in the general election.[4][5]

Murphy ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 8th District. She ran as a Green Party candidate. She faced incumbent Jim Moran (D), Patrick Murray (R) and Jason Howell (I) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[6] She was defeated by Jim Moran on November 6, 2012.[7]
