Karen Wells Roby is a federal magistrate judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She has served in this position since February 22, 1999. Her current term will expire on February 21, 2023.[1]
Education
Judge Roby received a B.S. degree in Business Administration (minor in Computers, Economics and Accounting) from Xavier University in 1983. She then received her J.D. degree from Tulane University Law School in 1987.[2]
Career
Prior to her appointment to the U.S. District Court, Karen Roby worked as a litigator.[2]
