In Mississippi’s nonpartisan general election, a total of 160 judicial candidates ran. Ninety-three faced no opposition, while 67 competed in contested races. Incumbents comprised 71% of the candidates.

Following the 28 contested races in Mississippi’s general election, five proceeded to a runoff on November 25. In these contests, no candidate secured over 50% of the vote on November 4, leading the top two candidates to compete again.
