I am a businessman, who has been involved in the community for over 30 years. I worked on my first campaign as a volunteer in 2000, and have been involved ever since. I am passionate about helping others to be the best that they can be. I believe in God, Family, and Country! I believe in the right for every individual to have the right to live his or her life to the fullest, that each person, no matter who they are should have the same opportunity to succeed, and live the American Dream. I have done a great deal of work for both my Community and Country from the outside, and now it is time to see what I can get accomplished from the inside. We face difficult problems that have solutions that are not being implemented. Now is the time to make a difference, and I am just one of the people to get the job done.
  • Economy, we all want clean air but not at the cost of destroying our economy. Like it or not we live in a petroleum based society, turn the oil back on and bring us back to self sufficiency.
  • Immigration, we have to fix both sides of this issue. We must prevent illegal immigration, but at the same time, fix the system by which immigrants can come in as legal citizens, just as so many of our own ancestors did.
  • Education, we must get back to educating our children with honesty, setting them up for success. I believe that teachers hold the most important job in the world, and I truly admire the passion that good teachers bring to the classroom.
I am personally passionate about Lawfulness and safety. This is the very foundation from which our freedom to live as Americans, and pursue the American Dream stem from. We not only need to fund the Police and other first responders with money, but also with the proper equipment and training to be able to fulfill their duties successfully. It takes a very special individual to do these jobs, and these jobs are tough enough without making it tougher on the valiant men and women doing them by holding back on resources that they so desperately need.
Both Ronald Reagan and Dr Martin Luther King Jr.. In their own way, each of them understood and professed Peace through power of the people coming together for the good of all. All people should be judged by the Content of their Character, and All People should be respected and have the same opportunity to live this life to the fullest.
Charlie Wilsons War. Here is the picture of what it looks like to step up to the front of the line, reach across the aisle, and get things accomplished.
In our Democracy they would be the care and concern for the benefit of our constituents.
My ability to get to the root of the problem, calculate a solution and get it implemented. Also being both available and good at listening to people, hearing what they have to say.
To perform our duties to the best of our abilities so as to allow our citizens to live full and fruitful lives.
The legacy of leaving my family, friends, district, country, and world at large, better than I found them.
I was a salesman at Thrifty’s Home Improvement Center, kind of a prelude to Home Depot, back in the early 1970’s. It was in Connecticut, and they had 7 locations. I held that job for 4 1/2 years, and was Salesman of the year all 4 years that I was there.
My favorite book is really a series, Left Behind, all 16 volumes, the first 12, the 3 prequels, and the sequel. Excellent writing, great message.
I struggle with being on the outside. There is only so much a person can do from this side of the fence. I have done what I can from here, the only way to do more is from the inside, which, is one of the main reasons that I am running for Congress.
The U.S. House of Representatives is a part of the law making body which guides the citizens of this great Country. The success and pursuit of happiness of each and every person in this land is based on following and abiding by the laws set by our Legislative branch of the government. The Senate allows for 2 representatives for each state, whereas, Congress is divided into Districts within each state, allowing for each representative to have a closer relationship with his or her constituents, which is what makes it unique.
Not specifically, although I think that a background in community involvement is very beneficial. Of the people, by the people, for the people, isn’t just a great catchphrase. Many successful politicians had successful lives in many different industries other than politics before their term in office. In my case in particular, I have been a businessman in different industries, and because of that, as well as my community involvement I relate with many different people across a great deal of genre’s of life.
The greatest challenges that we as a Nation currently face today and over the next decade are the Economy, Energy Independence, The Immigration issues, and Education. They are all equally important. Each of these issues have great challenges, and are closely related to one another. Our future as a free democracy depends on all of the challenges within each of these issues be addressed head on, and solutions not just discussed, but implemented.
Yes, I want to be involved in the committees that I can do the most good by utilizing my business experience. Committees involved with economic issues as well as Immigration and educational issues.
Yes, but I still believe in term limits. I believe that immediately upon taking office, you roll up your sleeves, and get to work. In just a couple of years, with the right attitude and good amount of elbow grease, the amount of work that can be accomplished will be mind boggling.
I believe that for all federally held offices there should be term limits so as to allow the office holders to focus on the issues at hand, rather than focusing on just getting re-elected, and getting little to nothing accomplished for the American people.
There are certain traits of other representatives that I would like to take with me, but I believe that we are truly unique individuals, and I would have to be me. Having said that, if I were to pick a couple of representatives, I say Newt Gingrich, and John Boehner.
Yes, there are so many. Walter and his wheelchair, Maria and Eduardo with their immigration hearing, Sally with her housing issues, Lucie with her employment issues, and the list just goes on and on. It would be hard to select just one story.
“I thought that I was wrong once, but I was mistaken!”
Absolutely. There are times for discussion, and times for action. The only way to get past the head butting, is to find the closest compromise, and take action. Is everything always going to work perfectly, no, but is better in most cases to try something that seems like a reasonable possible solution, than to argue and get nothing accomplished. Will certain things need to be undone, yes. That is when you correct the course and go in the other direction. At least this way you are making progress, and getting things accomplished.
I imagine that each elected representative has his or her own priority list. What’s most important is to remember that we are elected to office to represent the people, and that whatever it is, that best represents the people, must take priority.
