Campaign themes

2014

Geyer's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

Limited Government

  • Excerpt: "I believe that government needs to shrink. I believe the government should leave people alone and allow them the right to thrive in a free-market society. I believe in government for the people and by the people."

Lower Taxes

  • Excerpt: "High tax rates are stifling our economy. Taxpayers don't stand a chance and there needs to be significant economic reforms particularly with regard to government excess. I believe this includes eliminating state income tax."

Religious Freedom

  • Excerpt: "I believe this country was founded on Christian principles and that people have been "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." One of these unalienable rights is the right to choose their own religious beliefs."

Pro-Life

  • Excerpt: "I am against abortion. The unborn have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. To terminate a pregnancy is to end the life of a living, breathing human being created by God."

Right To Bear Arms

  • Excerpt: "The second amendement establishes an individual's right to bear arms and these rights cannot be infringed upon by the government. Any attempt for the government to infringe upon this right is a flagrant disregard for the Constitution of the United States of America."
