The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Elizabeth "Betty" Boukus was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Kathern M. Pugliese was unopposed in the Republican primary. Boukus defeated Pugliese and Richard William Broderick, II (nonpartisan) in the general election.[1][2]
