Sang Yi was a 2015 Republican candidate for District 37 of the Virginia House of Delegates.[1]

Campaign themes

2015

Education:

Fairfax County Public School System only receives 23 percent of its funding from the Commonwealth, compared to the 45 percent received on average by other school districts in Virginia. With rising enrollment and the need to keep our talented teachers’ salaries competitive, I will work to ensure our students get their fair share from Richmond.

Economy:

We must diversify our regional economy to promote growth and create jobs. As a pro-business Delegate focused on attracting new jobs to Northern Virginia, I will work to create tax incentives and capital gains exemptions for investments in businesses.

Transportation:

As your delegate, I will prioritize relieving congestion so we spend more time at home with our families than in our cars on the road. I will work with local elected officials to ensure our transportation dollars are spent with the most impact and promote legislation incentivizing teleworking.

Government Oversight:

As Virginians, we deserve an efficient, effective government that works for us. I will always fight for transparency, and safeguard our tax dollars from waste, fraud, or abuse.[2][3]
