Barbara Harrington-McKinney
Barbara Harrington-McKinney is a member of the Madison Common Council in Wisconsin, representing District 20. She assumed office on April 18, 2023. Her current term ends on April 21, 2026.
Harrington-McKinney is running for re-election to the Madison Common Council to represent District 20 in Wisconsin. She is on the ballot in the general election on April 7, 2026. The primary for this office on February 17, 2026, was canceled.
Biography
Harrington-McKinney earned a B.S. in special education from the University of Missouri, Saint Louis, a master's degree in urban planning and public policy analysis from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and an M.B.A. from Fontbonne University.[1]
Harrington-McKinney's professional experience includes work as the associate director of Madison-area Urban Ministry and an adjunct instructor at Edgewood College. She has served as a member of the Homeless Services Board and the Dane County Delegation on Poverty and as a board member for the Area Agency on Aging and A Fund for Women.[2][1]
