Democratic primary election

Scott Zimmerman filed as a Democratic write-in candidate and received enough votes to appear on the general election ballot. He rescinded his candidacy and the Democratic Party chose D.J. Byrnes to replace him on the general election ballot.[1][2]

Jena Powell defeated John O'Brien, J.D. Winteregg, and George Lovett in the Ohio House of Representatives District 80 Republican primary election.[1]
