Zach Nunn
Zach Nunn (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Iowa's 3rd Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 3, 2027.
Nunn (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Iowa's 3rd Congressional District. He declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on June 2, 2026.[source]
Nunn was a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 30 from 2015 to 2019. Nunn initially ran for re-election in 2018. He withdrew from the race for the District 30 seat in the Iowa House of Representatives after he advanced from the primary on June 5, 2018.
Biography
Nunn graduated from Drake University with a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations in 2002 and from the University of Cambridge with a master's degree in international relations and national security studies in 2007. Nunn was an airborne intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, serving three deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He then served as director of cybersecurity policy and engagement on the White House National Security Council and as a national counterintelligence officer and chief operations officer in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. As of 2022, Nunn owned a marketing business and commanded an intelligence squadron in the Iowa Air National Guard.[1][2][3]
