Kerry FitzGerald
Kerry FitzGerald was a judge on the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position on October 19, 1999, and left office on December 31, 2014.[1][2]
Education
Fitzgerald attended Southern Methodist University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in economics in 1963. He later earned his law degree from the University of Texas in 1966.[1]
Career
After graduating from law school Fitzgerald worked for three years at the Dallas County District Attorney's office. He then went into private practice for several years. In 1994, Fitzgerald took the bench as an associate municipal judge for Dallas County, a position he held until October 19, 1999, when he was appointed to the court of appeals by then-Governor George W. Bush. He was sworn in on October 22.[1]
