R. Al Bain was a 2014 U.S. Taxpayers Party candidate for District 56 of the Michigan House of Representatives.[1]

Elections for the Michigan House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Tom Redmond was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Jason Sheppard defeated Irma Kubiske in the Republican primary. Al Bain ran as a U.S. Taxpayers Party candidate. Sheppard defeated Redmond and Bain in the general election.[2][3][4][1]

Bain was a Republican candidate for District 17 in the Michigan State Senate in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections. Bain was defeated by Randy Richardville in the August 3 Republican primary.[5][6]
