Andrew J. Wistrich was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He was appointed to this position on April 4, 1994.[1] Wistrich retired on January 8, 2018.[2]

Education

Judge Wistrich received his A.B. degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1976.[1]

Career

Judge Wistrich began his career as a law clerk for Judge Clark of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He then worked as an associate of the law firm McCutchen, Doyle, Brown and Enersen from 1978 to 1983. He then joined the firm Brown and Bain, where he became a partner in 1985. He worked in this capacity until he was appointed magistrate judge in 1994.[1]
