A former NASA specialist turned entrepreneur, I founded my own business here in the district to work with public and private partners to focus on solving complex land and water issues. I have run the company true to progressive values, in both hiring practices and valuing employees, and evaluating projects for positive social impact. I have a master's degree in natural resources and will work passionately for the future of Wisconsin's land and water natural resources, including our lakes, public lands, trails, and state parks.
  • Wisconsin's diverse natural landscapes and resources provide us all with a shared natural heritage and character that needs to be preserved and protected for us all. I will work for a comprehensive plan to improve our water quality and rapidly advance our clean energy goals to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
  • Excellence in public education requires smart state level investment, beginning with valuing teachers. I will push for targeted state investment in the recruiting and retention of teachers, micro-grants to pursue special projects in the classroom, and a program to form new partnerships between our 26 University of Wisconsin system campuses and our K-12 schools to encourage innovation in our classrooms.
  • We need to reframe the way we think about our health care in Wisconsin as a proper part of our public infrastructure, similar to what we have done with state investment in broadband access in the last couple of years. State investment and new public-private partnerships are key to increasing access to health care in our unserved and underserved communities.
The right to vote is at the very core of our democracy. I truly believe that the more people vote, the stronger we are as a citizenry, and the more united we stand against the special interests of the few. In the state legislature, I will work to protect our voting rights and expand access to voting for all. Now is the time to redouble our efforts to move to a nonpartisan redistricting process in Wisconsin to eliminate the egregious abuse of power exercised through gerrymandering under the current legislature.

I believe with new voices and citizen centered leadership in the state capitol, we can build a stronger economy in Wisconsin for the years ahead, strengthen regional cooperation, develop a first-rate public infrastructure, and ensure healthy lakes, rivers, and public lands. I will stand up for our rights in the state legislature, including protecting the fundamental right to vote, a woman's right to choose, and safer communities through responsible gun reforms.
