Hello! My name is Cody Harper. I am a candidate for State Representative for the Ohio district that will include Hanover Township. There will be other townships that will be included and added once they are finalized by the state of Ohio. We are still waiting on a district map due to a lawsuit that was filed. My goal is to run a grassroots campaign but even that cost money to do successfully. The donations will be used to purchase yard signs, flyers, t-shirts for volunteers, and added other unexpected expenses of a political campaign. Any remaining funds after the campaign will be donated to a local charity.

I grew up in a blue-collar family in Brookville, Indiana, and currently reside in Hanover Township with my family since 2017. I am married with a 3-year-old son and a daughter who was born in April.

I am seeking elected office because I have always planned on getting involved in politics and making a difference for our state, community, and our children’s generation. I have decided now is the time to make a difference. As I look around at what's going on in the political arena across this country, I realize that the world that my kids are going to inherit has the potential for complex issues. As a father, I feel that it's my duty to hand my son and daughter a better world. I believe that starts at the local level. Our founding fathers believed that it was our duty to serve our communities through public service.
  • I am a true Conservative
  • I believe that God and family are the foundation of this great country.
  • I believe that morality and ethics are required when you take the oath of office.
I believe that elected officials' responsibility is to strengthen their community and country. I did not decide to run to chase a specific issue. I choose to run to fight for all the issues for all the people in our district.
