|- Committed to my long-held public service values of 1) accountability and transparency in all activities, 2) Taking a pro-active approach to problem analysis and resolution and 3) fostering collaboration and compromise
- My highest priority is to bring State attention to the growing transportation congestion on I-84 from Southbury to the New York border.. I have a proven record as CEO to bring the required resources to bear as I did as First Selectman in addressing infrastructure problems that prior administrations had ignored (Pomperaug Bridge, River Road).
- I want to finish projects started while I was CEO of Southbury including more farming at the Southbury Training School farmlands and utilization of the 45 acres given to the Town for workforce housing.
Perseverance - legislating is based on bringing people with different perspectives together. Getting to "yes" requires patience and a willingness to keep trying.
Understanding and being able to explain the budget and the values inherent in any budget I vote upon.
