Campaign themes
2012
On her 2012 campaign site, Douglas outlines her campaign themes:
- "Watching bad policies coming from Sacramento drive businesses out of our state, decimate the employment market, and drain the state’s revenues, I decided to run for the State Assembly. America has given me so much and it is my dream and my absolute passion to give back and I know I can do that as a member of the State Assembly... It is important that as the opposition party in Sacramento, we have legislators that can get things done. I have demonstrated that in business and as a member of the Carlsbad City Council. I study the issues, know the policies, and find solutions. That doesn’t mean compromise on our principles, it means lead with them. Our philosophy is the right way to grow our economy, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for Californians."
