George Goodwin
George Goodwin was a 2017 Republican candidate for District 56 of the Virginia House of Delegates.
Biography
Goodwin received his B.S. in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and his M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Virginia. His professional experience includes working as an engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation, serving as a senior intelligence analyst for the federal government, and serving as director of planning and integration at the National Ground Intelligence Center. He also served on the Louisa County Planning Commission.[1]

Elections for the Virginia House of Delegates took place in 2017. All 100 house seats were up for election. The general election took place on November 7, 2017. A primary election took place on June 13, 2017. The filing deadline for primary election candidates was March 30, 2017. The filing deadline for non-party candidates and candidates nominated by methods other than a primary was June 13, 2017.[4] John McGuire (R) defeated Melissa Dart (D) in the Virginia House of Delegates District 56 general election.[5]
