I am a passionate activist and working-class woman seeking to heal my community and my state. I have always been engaged in working to clean our environment, advocate for climate action, and working towards equitable reform. My entire world changed in 2019 when a student in my class had a firearm accidentally discharge. My personal healing process drove me to take more action in addressing the problems we face here in Norfolk, as well as across the state of Virginia.
  • I stand on firm values of equity, sustainability, and transparency.
  • I have a vision for the future of our city, state, and country. My candidacy is only one avenue I am taking to try and achieve that vision.
  • This is a campaign centered on all of us, not just me. I am here to listen, collaborate, and vote on behalf of my entire community, rather than personal or corporate interests.
Gun sense laws, policing reform, protection of rights for women, expansion of rights for LGBTQIA+ folks, economic and housing reform, immediate climate action, farming reform/stricter regulations on industrial farming facilities, equitable access to education
I was 7 when the World Trade Centers were hit on 9/11. The day itself stands out for very obvious, horrific reasons; however, as I grew older, my mom shared with me that she was supposed to be in the towers that day presenting a project for work. That day is always a deep day of remembrance for the lives lost and gratitude for my mom, and all the extra time I got with her because she postponed her presentation that day.
My first job was working for my local Boys & Girls Club in Roanoke, VA. I served as the Development Associate where I wrote grants to fund our programming serving youth and helped with planning our fundraising events.
