|So, I began by organizing meetings with my neighbors, and I saw how important it was to them—and how it brought all of us together for the common good. Then I really worked at getting our voices out to the media. You may, in fact, recognize me from the articles I’ve written in the local newspapers, the interviews I’ve done in print, TV, and radio, or the speeches I’ve given in front of the Iowa Utilities Board. My neighbors and I also reached out to our legislators, but they failed to take action against eminent domain last year. That’s why I’m stepping up to run for office now.
- Since November 2021, I've been fighting against eminent domain for private corporations. This year, I will bring the fight to the State Senate.
- When something fundamental is at stake, like our constitutional rights, Iowans know how to set their day-to-day differences aside and work passionately for the common good.
- It's not about Democrats. It's not about Republicans. It's not about Independents. It's about IOWANS.
I am running for State Senate to bring our values back to Des Moines.
I ask that voters consider what I’ve been doing to stand up against eminent domain—the way I’ve done the research, talked neighbor-to-neighbor, communicated with the media, and stood up at meetings across the state—to see how I would be a respectful but truth-telling leader in the Iowa Senate.
