|higher education. Working in the trenches daily as a School Counselor has provided insight into the "REAL" issues students, and families face regarding higher education in Nebraska. I am a candidate who is knowledgeable, passionate, and determined to spend time on the university campuses to ensure the best learning environment is available to Nebraskans. I am running for this elected position because I believe Nebraskans deserve to have an experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate educator serving on a board that determines the direction of higher education in Nebraska.
- Education has always been Nebraska's greatest resource, and I want to ensure that the higher education staff, curriculum, and instructional practices align with the values and integrity of Nebraskans.
- Keeping tuition and fees at a reasonable cost is vital. I I am intent on working towards aligning tuition costs with minimum wage.
- My third goal is to recruit and maintain Nebraska students to study and seek jobs in their hometown Nebraska communities. Working towards creating and implementing an education/business partnership pipeline is vital for local Nebraska growth.
